The Vice President spoke with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday to express the United States’ strong concerns regarding recent negative developments in Bahrain and their implications for the wider region.  The Vice President emphasized the importance of reducing ongoing tensions through dialogue and reconciliation with the opposition, and a commitment to reform.
