Readout of President Obama’s Call with Prime Minister Gordon Brown of the United Kingdom
President Obama spoke with Prime Minister Gordon Brown last night. The call lasted approximately 15 minutes. The leaders discussed President Obama’s speech at Cairo University and their mutual interest in continuing to build strong relationships with the Muslim communities around the world. The two leaders also discussed international financial institution reform and touched briefly on the G-20 and G-8 summits. President Obama looks forward to seeing Prime Minister Brown in Normandy on Saturday where they will continue their conversation.
