The Vice President met with President Mauricio Macri of Argentina today on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.   The two leaders discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral ties in the coming year, including through increased cooperation on commercial and trade ties, defense and security issues, and educational exchanges. The two leaders also agreed on the importance of Argentina’s leadership in addressing climate change, increasing renewable energy development, and opening Argentina’s energy sector to needed investment.  Following on Argentina’s renewed efforts to attract foreign investment and reintegrate into the global economy, the two leaders pledged to deepen the bilateral partnership to build a hemisphere that is democratic, middle class, and secure.
