Vice President Biden to Travel to Missouri; Will Highlight Progress of the Recovery Act, Hold Middle Class Task Force Meeting

Washington, DC — Vice President Joe Biden will travel to Missouri this week to highlight the progress of the Recovery Act and hold the next Middle Class Task Force meeting.

On Thursday April 16th, the Vice President will travel to Central Missouri to discuss the implementation of the Recovery Act.  Additional details on locations and times of events will be released soon. 

On Friday April 17th, the Middle Class Task Force will hold its next meeting at the University of Missouri St. Louis. The meeting, titled “Making College More Affordable for our Families”, is the third in series of meetings the Vice President and Task Force members are holding across the country on key issues facing the middle class. The focus of the meeting in St. Louis will be to discuss ways to expand opportunities and help make the dream of a college education a reality for more families.    

The Middle Class Task Force will be joined by Dr. Jill Biden, an educator for 28 years. Dr. Biden currently teaches at Northern Virginia Community College with a focus on English and writing.  These events will be OPEN to the press and additional media logistics will follow shortly.
