Today, President Donald J. Trump declared that a major disaster exists for the Resighini Rancheria and ordered Federal aid to supplement the Tribe’s recovery efforts in the areas affected by the flooding that took place between February 8 and February 11, 2017.

Federal funding is available to the Resighini Rancheria and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the flooding on the Resighini Rancheria.

Federal funding is also available to the Tribe on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures.

Robert J. Fenton, Acting Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, named Timothy J. Scranton as the Federal Coordinating Officer for Federal recovery operations in the affected areas.

Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the Resighini Rancheria and if warranted by the results of further damage assessments.
